Congratulations Johan!

Boxing SA Inc congratulates Johan Linde on his selection in the Australian Olympic Team.

After winning his way through the competition in Hobart in March to win the Australian Championship, Johan then travelled to Canberra to battle it out at the Oceania Olympic Qualifer last weekend.  Johan in the 91 kg + weight division, convincingly defeated both Samoa and Tonga to secure his place in the Australian Olympic Team to be held in London later this year.  Australia will send a maximum 10 man team to London.  We wish Johan all the very best.  He is certainly making his state very proud.

Johan is the first SA boxer in the olympics since 2004 when Peter Wakefield competed in the 48 kg weight division.

Boxing SA is grateful for and acknowledges the support and funding provided by the following organisations.
